21900 days...Does this title scare you?

Did a poem for my mum, I decided to put it here instead of scribblehub, probably because this blog is more personal which the poem is a bit as well. And since not many people read this, lol.

My Mum is 21900 days!

It's time to celebrate your sixtieth birthday!

Oh, there should be heaps to say!

How you've grown up, how you've grown tall,

Starting right from before you could crawl!

In sixty years, so much can be taught,

In over three thousand weeks, so much could be bought.

Much can be experienced in seven hundred months or so,

21900 days and still more to go!

How many times did you fall in love?

Did you feel like it was never enough?

How many times did you jump the fence?

Got into trouble but still took the chance?

How many times did you call in sick?

How many times did you watch the clock tick?

Did time go quick, or did it go slow?

How many times did you go with the flow?

Did you stand out in the rain?

How many times did you go on a plane?

Did you often get drunk with your mates?

Did you go on many dates?

Surely there's experiences here and there,

Some common, yet some rare.

But what matters the most, is that you are cheerful!

That you are not regretful much and your life is meaningful.

If you are happy, then we are too!

It's easily understandable, because we care for you!

We might not always show it, but we aren't blind,

We do have our own problems, but you do come to mind!

You are going out of your way to care,

Being a carer can be much to bare.

You do all the driving, and then chores, like cooking,

While others, including Layla, does all the sooking!

Keeping the house together, keeping it real!

Sometimes it can't be about you and how you feel...

You strive to continue and do your best!

Certainly, a few weekends a year, you deserve some rest!

We know you try hard and have experienced a lot,

You've gone far to obtain all that you've got!

Been around the world, that's more than some can say,

Still travelling actually, in your own kind of way...

With little Layla, loyally by your side,

You are not alone on your Life's ride!

There's still more seconds, days, months and years,

Sex, yells, travelling, old age and beers!

Well how do you like it? (Shh, mum can't read it till her birthday party!)
